Memorial’s Jalen Green pulls off amazing in-game dunk. What would you score it?

Memorial High basketball star Jalen Green can scratch off another goal completed.

The sophomore has spent years practicing the “East Bay Funk” dunk that former NBA star J.R. Rider made famous during the 1994 Slam Dunk contest.

And on Jan. 19, Green managed to pull it off – in the middle of a game.

Keep in the mind that the dunk requires the dunker to wrap the ball around his legs midair before throwing it down.

Green executed it seamlessly during a 103-39 win against Madera, causing the Panthers gym to erupt in amazement.

“That’s the hardest dunk to do and Jalen did it in a game,” Memorial coach Brad Roznovsky said. “He’s practiced it many times before. But he hasn’t always been able to make it.

“He made it that time.”

Green, a sophomore, is regarded as the nation’s top high school basketball player for the class of 2020 (Rivals ranks him No. 1. ESPN and 247Sports has him No. 2.).

Green’s dunks are popular on the internet.

But video of Green’s East Bay Funk Dunk has generated perhaps the most views, including more than 62,000 on Instagram and almost 16,000 on Twitter within the first five days of being posted.
