Raider Nation is not happy Darren Waller is traded to Giants. ‘What are we doing?’

The Las Vegas Raiders are trading star tight end Darren Waller to the New York Giants for a third round pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

The Giants traded the pick they received from the Kansas City Chiefs for Kadarius Toney.

Raiders fans wondered what the Raiders are doing in trading away Waller that even drew a reaction from star running back Josh Jacobs on Twitter.

Another fan explained why it was necessary to trade Waller.

The Raiders claimed Waller off the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad in 2018. He was a top target for then-Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.

Waller missed several games in the past two seasons.

Waller spent the past five seasons with the Raiders and had 3,469 yards with 17 touchdowns.

He made the Pro Bowl in 2020.

He’ll be a new target for Giants quarterback Daniel Jones.
