Can the Raiders break out of a slump that has seen them lose back-to-back games to the Saints and Jaguars?

Heading into Week 8, the Raiders were 2-4 with hopes of quickly climbing to .500.

Two weeks later, the Raiders are 2-6 heading into this Sunday’s game against the struggling 3-5-1 Colts. The NFL Week 10 game will start at 1:05 p.m. PST from Allegiant Stadium.

Indianapolis is a team Las Vegas should beat, but so, too, were the Saints and Jaguars and look what happened.

The Raiders will be without tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) and wide receiver Hunter Renfrow (oblique), both of whom were placed on the short-term injured reserve.

Waller has only played in five games, while Renfrow saw the field six times.

The Raiders also received word that linebacker Blake Martinez had abruptly retired this week.

Even without Waller and Renfrow, the Raiders still will have wide receivers Davante Adams, Mack Hollins, Keelan Cole and DJ Turner available Sunday. A heavy dose of running back Josh Jacobs could get the Raiders going again after they went pass-heavy to start the game against the Jaguars.

Raiders coach Josh McDaniels needs to call an effective game and stick with what’s working.

While the Raiders are 0-5 on the road, they are 2-1 at home. The Colts have lost their past three games.

Line and over/under

The Raiders are 4.5-point favorites by FanDuel. The over/under is 40.5. The Raiders were 6-point favorites earlier in the week.

How to watch on TV

The game will be shown on CBS and can be streamed on CBS apps.

Quick analysis

What’s next for the Raiders? To say they are reeling is an understatement. There is no way of telling what else can go wrong. ... This much is certain: a loss to the Colts and QB Sam Ehlinger would all but seal the Raiders’ fate for the season, if they still have any hopes at all. ... The Raiders need to put pressure on Ehlinger and limit the yards by RB Jonathan Taylor, who missed three games this season because of an injury. ... A loss to the Colts and interim coach Jeff Saturday would be the latest embarrassment in a disappointing season. ... The Bee is going with the Raiders, but with low confidence.

Prediction: Raiders 27, Colts 23
