Josh Jacobs made an impact on the football field for the Raiders this past season.

The NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate just made another impact: this time for his father.

The former Alabama star surprised his father, Marty, with a new house in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He shared the news late Monday when he posted an Instagram story with photos and video that showed his dad in tears.

It was Jacobs’ way of showing how much he loves his father for sacrificing a lot for him and his four siblings.

Prior to the season, an ESPN piece revealed that Jacobs and his siblings lived in Marty Jacobs’ car and slept in hotels while growing up in Tulsa, Okla.

Jacobs was the No. 24 picks of the 2019 NFL Draft. He finished the season with 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns, leading all rookies. His finished third in rushing yards behind Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans and Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns.

Jacobs moved past Pro Football Hall of Famer Marcus Allen (697 in 1982) for the most rushing yards by a Raiders rookie.

Jacobs also became the first rookie since former Cincinnati Bengals and Edison High standout Ickey Woods (1988) to have two rushing touchdowns in three of his first eight career games.

Jacobs was twice named NFL Rookie of the Month in October and November.

He’s up for the Associated Press’ Offensive Rookie of the Year and the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year.
