Brandon Contreras was a bit busy at work on Friday evening at In-N-Out on Clovis/Herndon Ave., when he was caught by surprise by a certain NFL quarterback.
That would be Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.
How did he react to the Raiders quarterback?
“Greatest moment of my life,” Contreras tweeted. “Derek Carr just came in the drive-thru.”
He was so surprised he had to take a selfie with Carr as the ex-Fresno State star smiled sitting in his truck in the drive-thru. He even asked Carr to sign his hat and the ex-Fresno State star obliged.
“I am a huge Raiders fan. I didn’t take his order but I helped make his order. He caught all of us by surprise because our handheld worker (the person who takes his order outside) didn’t know who he was. When he went to pay at the first window the worker there let all of us know.”
Even his trainer Eric Mahanke poked fun at Carr, asking “Is this why we did those extra sprints??”
Carr’s order was two cheeseburgers and a chocolate shake, Contreras said, adding that he didn’t “know if it was for him or his wife and sons.”
Carr was in Fresno as he met with patients at Valley Children’s Healthcare on Friday and “Inside the Huddle” event at the Saroyan Theatre on Saturday.
As of Saturday night, more than 3,000 liked his post, while more than 500 retweeted his thrilling night.
