How hard is NFL training camp on families? Derek Carr’s wife will tell you
NFL training camps are not only hard on the players. Families are split apart for extended time, too.
Heather Carr, wife of Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, writes about the separation on Instagram:
“Camp is hard on families in the NFL their husbands and daddies are gone for long periods of time and the only time we get to see them is when we travel up and visit camp. So we cherish these precious moments when we get to be together as a family again! Even if it’s just for a few minutes! Respect all the other wives going through the same thing! Y’all rock!! #CampLife #ThankYouLordForYourStrength #TeamEffort.”
In June, the Carr’s enjoyed vacationing in Mexico.
As you can see here, Derek Carr misses his sons, Dallas and Deker, a lot, while enjoying all the time they can get after a training camp practice in Napa.
Derek and Heather recently celebrated their five-year anniversary.
