RH Brad Peacock (0-0, 3.98 ERA) seeks his first win this season while making his seventh start. The three-year major league veteran has logged at least five strikeouts in each start. He’ll face Nashville RH Chris Smith (1-5, 5.21), who has thrown 922.1 innings in the minors over 15 seasons. Smith has logged 67.2 innings in the majors, too, most recently in 2010 with Milwaukee.

Roster activity – Reliever Josh Fields and catcher Max Stassi were sent down to Triple-A Fresno by major league parent club Houston. Fields, briefly with the Grizzlies last season, had a 6.89 ERA in 15.2 innings with the Astros. Stassi, who spent most of last season with Fresno and began this season on the disabled list, got a call-up while catcher Jason Castro was on paternity leave. Fields and Stassi will join the Grizzlies in Nashville.
