Grizzlies Report for July 23: Las Vegas 9, Fresno 4
Grizzlies on Friday: The Fresno Grizzlies own the largest divisional lead throughout Triple-A with an 11-game advantage on the Reno Aces and Tacoma Rainiers entering Thursday. The Grizzlies (57-41) can expand that lead further with a four-game series at Tacoma (46-52) that begins at 7:05 p.m. today. Grizzlies RH Dan Straily (7-6, 3.93) is scheduled to face Rainiers LH Gillheeney (1-1, 6.97). Straily struck out nine and allowed just two runs over seven innings in his previous outing, which was his first back with the Grizzlies after about a three-week stint in the majors with the Houston Astros.

Hot hitter: Grizzlies third baseman Matt Duffy launched his 13th home run Thursday to give him at least one hit in nine of his past 10 games.
Stat of the day: The Rainiers and Grizzlies ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, in home runs in the Pacific Coast League with 91 and 90. Yet when it comes to RBIs, the Grizzlies own a substantial lead and rank first with 521. The Rainiers are fifth with 458.
