Grizzlies Report: Fresno 5, Sacramento 3
Grizzlies today: The Fresno Grizzlies (53-38) are tied with the third-best record in the Pacific Coast League and are in first place in the Pacific Northern Division going into the All-Star Break. The Grizzlies have the next three days off — except Hanford native Tyson Perez. The reliever will represent Fresno on the PCL team at the Triple-A All-Star game Wednesday in Omaha, Neb. Grizzlies outfielder L.J. Hoes also made the All-Star team, but he was called up by the parent-club Houston Astros on Sunday. There will be no replacement for Hoes on the all-star roster.
Sunday recap: The Grizzlies enter the All-Star break having won four of five against the rival Sacramento River Cats, punctuated with Tyler White and Domingo Santana each hitting a homer en route to a 5-3 victory. For the season, the Grizzlies have a franchise-best six wins overall at Sacramento’s Raley Field. White now has two homers and 12 RBIs while hitting .432 in 11 games with the Grizzlies. Santana extended his on-base Triple-A streak to 40 games after batting 2 for 4 with a solo homer.
