Plenty of changes in The Bee’s Top 25 following TRAC results, plus big NYL tilt
The Fresno Bee high school football rankings have a new look following the start of the Tri-River Athletic Conference.
The only difference is Central East remains the top-ranked team by The Bee after routing then No. 3 Clovis North 56-13 at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The loss drops the Broncos to No. 6.
Clovis West, meanwhile, scored 28 unanswered points to defeat Clovis East 28-21. As a result, the Golden Eagles move up to No. 2, while the Timberwolves fall to No. 5 behind No. 3 Bakersfield Christian and No. 4 Bakersfield after both won their games.
Expect more changes as league play continues.
Speaking of which, No. 24 Garces and No. 25 Roosevelt make their debuts in The Bee’s rankings following wins on Friday.
Roosevelt will face No. 21 McLane at 7 p.m. Thursday at McLane Stadium, likely deciding the NYL title.
