The Central Section football playoffs was announced Saturday afternoon by the section office.

For the first time two divisions I were split up to Division I-AA and Division 1-A.

The Tri-River Athletic Conference champions Clovis East is the top seed in Division 1-AA, which is no surprise.

The Timberwolves will take on No. 8 Tulare Union at Lamonica Stadium.

An interesting matchup takes place in Hanford when the fourth-seeded Bullpups play No. 5 Clovis.

The defending section champions No. 2 Clovis North will meet No. 7 Sanger at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

In Division 1-A, Bakersfield was tabbed the top seed and will host No. 8 San Joaquin Memorial.

The Bee will be making predictions on each game and will also predicting the section champions later in the week.
