Lemoore’s Johnny Cunha voted The Bee’s football Player of the Week for Aug. 17-18
Lemoore High quarterback Johnny Cunha was voted The Fresno Bee football Player of the Week for Aug. 17-18.
Cunha picked up 44,534 votes (38%).
Finishing second was Conner Bohlken of Sanger, who received 32,632 votes (28%). Third was Arion Ciato of Sanger West (24,937 votes, 22%).
Cunha finished with three touchdown passes in the Tigers’ win over Selma in the season-opening game.
Twenty-four players were nominated. Voting ended at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 27.
