Kingsburg’s Davin Collazo is The Fresno Bee’s Athlete of the Week for Aug. 14-19
After receiving 12,430 votes (41%), Davin Collazo of Kingsburg girls water polo is The Fresno Bee’s Athlete of the Week for Aug. 14-19.
She finished ahead of Lyric Garcia of Clovis West volleyball. Garcia had 8,526 votes (28%).
Juliana Sanchez of Garza volleyball was third with 3,751 votes (12%).
Collazo had six goals and two assists to lead the Vikings to a 11-3 victory over Strathmore.
The fifteen high school athletes nominated came from tennis, volleyball and water polo.
Voting ended at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 27.
