Week 7 high school football scores: Friday’s latest results, Week 6 player of the week vote
The last week of Central Section high school football in the Fresno area wrapped up with a short schedule highlighted by two top-10 teams capping their seasons with convincing wins.
Friday night, San Joaquin Memorial, No. 6 in The Bee’s rankings, beat Madera 42-14.
Thursday saw No. 7 Bullard finish its season with a 53-26 win over Edison.
The results set the in the County/Metro Athletic Conference standings: Sanger, which finished its season last week, was the 4-0 champion followed by 3-1 Memorial and 2-2 Bullard.
Another notable Friday result: Reedley, which went 5-0 to win the North Yosemite League, lost 36-29 to Madera South in a nonleague game.

Player of the Week winner
What a close vote it was for the latest Fresno Bee football Player of the Week.
The winning nod went to Cayden Muir of Hanford, who topped readers’ voting with 37.7%. He beats out John O’Neal of Roosevelt, who finished at 33.9%. Third was Preston Sy of McLane with 26.3%.
Muir completed 22 of 29 for 309 yards and four touchdowns in the Bullpups’ 47-17 win over Edison. His quarterback rating was 149.3.
