Who are the top seeds in the Central Section boys basketball playoffs? Pairings announced

Eight teams in the Central Section will compete in the Division I basketball playoffs led by top-seed St. Joseph.

Last season’s section champion Clovis North is the No. 3 seed.

Clovis North will face No. 6 Clovis East in the other first-round matchup. Other seeds include No. 2 Buchanan (which won the Tri-River Athletic Conference title for the first time since 2012), No. 4 San Joaquin Memorial, No. 5 Clovis West, No. 7 Bakersfield Christian and No. 8 Bullard.

The championships are set for Feb. 28-March 1 at Selland Arena.

Here are the other first-round playoff matchups:
