Remember former Memorial High star Jalen Green? He’s still raking in top honors

Former San Joaquin Memorial High basketball star Jalen Green was selected to play in the 43rd McDonald’s All American Games.

The five-star recruit played his first three high school seasons at Memorial before transferring to Prolific Prep in Napa.

The 6-foot-5 senior guard is the top-rated recruit on ESPN’s top 100 list for the 2020 Class.

Other local players who played in the McDonald’s All-American Game include DeShawn Stevenson of Washington Union (2000) and twins Brook and Robin Lopez of Memorial in 2006.

Green has numerous offers and says he will make his college commitment at the end of the season.

The McDonald’s All-American Game will take place in Houston on April 1.

The 24-player boys and girls rosters were revealed during ESPN’s “The Jump” on Thursday. The girls list includes La Jolla Country Day point guard Te-Hina Paopao, an Oregon commit who scored 20 points in a 72-51 win over Clovis West last month. LJCD is considered the top girls team in the country by several rankings.
