The annual event features numerous athletes vying to stand on the podium Saturday night — the final day of the competition.

One of those athletes is Clovis North senior McKay Madsen, who is looking to repeat in discus and shot put. He showed last weekend at the Central Section Masters he is ready for the state meet, taking first in both field events at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
