Caruthers’ Emmi Almeida voted The Bee’s girls basketball Player of the Year in Fresno area

Caruthers’ Emmi Almeida was recently voted The Bee’s girls basketball Player of the Year in the Fresno area.

Alemeida won the poll after receiving 90,184 votes (59%) as she finished ahead of Raquel Cortez of Reedley who had 50,562 votes (33%). Finishing third was Jaelyn Bourdeau of Coalinga who had 10,604 (7%).

Voting in the non-scientific poll ended 11:59 p.m. March 27.
