Cobi Posas of Roosevelt is voted the Fresno area Athlete of the Week for Jan 8-13
Cobi Posas of the Roosevelt High boys basketball team was voted The Fresno Bee’s Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 8-13.
He had 9,019 votes (57%) to finish ahead of Chris Baudreau of Clovis West basketball (4,279 votes, 27%).
Ari Avalos of Sanger soccer was third with 2,257 votes (14%).
Nineteen high school athletes were nominated from basketball and soccer.
Voting ended at 11:59 p.m. Jan. 21.
