Drew Rhoads of Lemoore is the winner of The Bee’s Athlete of the Week poll for Aug. 21-26

Drew Rhoads of the Lemoore boys water polo team was voted The Fresno Bee’s Athlete of the Week for Aug. 21-26.

Rhoads had 18,209 votes (50%) to come out on top, while Kennedy Cutler of Redwood volleyball came in second with 14,739 votes (40%).

Ayla Fellhauer of Hanford volleyball was third with 1,426 votes (4%). Maddy Nevels of Exeter girls water polo had 1,324 votes (4%).

Twenty-two high school athletes were nominated coming from cross country, golf, volleyball and water polo.

Voting ended at 11:59 p.m. Sept. 3.

Coaches may nominate an athlete for next week’s prep poll by email to agalaviz@fresnobee.com.
