Hannah Marinovich of Clovis West wins The Bee’s prep girls Athlete of the Week poll for May 8

Clovis West’s Hannah Marinovich is the winner of The Fresno Bee Girls Athlete of the Week poll for May 8-13.

She finished with 23,677 votes (57%) to finish ahead of Marina Hernandez of Selma softball, who totaled 16,892 votes (40%).

Twenty-one high school athletes were nominated and come from softball, swimming and track and field.

Voting ended at 11:59 p.m. May 22.

Past winners are Nailea Fields of Caruthers track and field, Amanda Herrera of Immanuel softball, Tylee Erickson of Immanuel softball, Anisa Torres of Caruthers softball, Chloe Solis of Clovis East softball, Mia Castillo of Orange Cove softball, Star Roman-Elizondo of Orange Cove softball, Gizelle Aguirre of Caruthers softball, Daisy Regalado of Mt. Whitney softball, Isabella Marie Gonzales of Clovis East wrestling, Morgan O’Neal of Buchanan soccer, Hannah Peters of Clovis North soccer, Abigail Ochoa of Washington Union soccer, Morgan Trigueiro of Caruthers basketball (three times), Jaelyn Bourdeau of Coalinga basketball, Alexis Holland of Washington Union basketball, Taryn Brice of Clovis West soccer and Taylor Rombaoa of Clovis East basketball.
