League games resume this week after Easter tournaments dominated the Fresno-area high school sports scene last week.

The highlight was Bullard beating Redwood 5-3 in the Fresno Easter Classic baseball championship game. The Knights Keynen Gomez pitched a six-hitter, Wyatt Rosenthal drove in two runs to tie the game at 3, and Cam Schneider had a double and RBI for Bullard.

Bullard (12-3) and Redwood top The Bee’s first Central Section Top 25 rankings. The Knights will face Madera this week.

Clovis (9-8-1) is No. 3 after picking up series wins over Central (9-9) and Buchanan (10-7). The Cougars had some tough losses against out-of-state teams in the past week.

In softball, Clovis North is the top-ranked team, going 7-0 at the Clovis Easter Classic to improve to 15-0-1 overall.
