Chloe Solis of Clovis East softball wins The Fresno Bee Girls Athlete of the Week poll for April 3-8.
She had 17,361 votes (57%) to finish ahead of Vanessa Hamilton of Orange Cove softball (12,349, 41%).
The 13 high school athletes that were nominated come from softball and track and field.
Voting ended at 11:59 p.m. April 17.
Past winners are Mia Castillo of Orange Cove softball, Star Roman-Elizondo of Orange Cove softball, Gizelle Aguirre of Caruthers softball, Daisy Regalado of Mt. Whitney softball, Isabella Marie Gonzales of Clovis East wrestling, Morgan O’Neal of Buchanan soccer, Hannah Peters of Clovis North soccer, Abigail Ochoa of Washington Union soccer, Morgan Trigueiro of Caruthers basketball (three times), Jaelyn Bourdeau of Coalinga basketball, Alexis Holland of Washington Union basketball, Taryn Brice of Clovis West soccer and Taylor Rombaoa of Clovis East basketball.
