The Clovis West girls basketball team is ready for the Central Section high school playoffs.

The Golden Eagles left no doubt against host Clovis in a 51-39 victory on Friday night, as both teams share the Tri-River Athletic Conference title.

The Cougars shocked Clovis West 52-51 on Jan. 24.

The rematch was close for a half, with the Golden Eagles leading 26-22 before they outscored Clovis 18-6 in the third quarter.

Clovis West secured its 18th straight TRAC title, according to section historian Bob Barnett. It is the Cougars’ first league title in 25 years.

The section playoff seedings set a course for a third meeting between the teams, with Clovis West (27-1, 9-1 TRAC) No. 1 and Clovis (23-5, 9-1) No. 2 in Division I.
