Jaelyn Bourdeau of Coalinga basketball wins The Bee’s poll for Jan. 16-21

Jaelyn Bourdeau of Coalinga basketball is the winner of The Fresno Bee Girls Athlete of the Week poll for Jan. 16-21.

She had 24,572 votes (61%). She finished ahead of Yvette Secundino of Washington Union soccer who had 14,966 votes (37%).

The 18 high school athletes nominated come from basketball and soccer.

Past winners are Alexis Holland of Washington Union basketball, Taryn Brice of Clovis West soccer, Morgan Trigueiro of Caruthers basketball and Taylor Rombaoa of Clovis East basketball.

Coaches may nominate an athlete for next week’s prep poll by email to agalaviz@fresnobee.com.
