The Bee’s Top 25 high school football rankings: Losses send eight teams tumbling
The top half of the latest Fresno Bee high school football Top 25 rankings sees one change: Kingsburg dropping one spot after its close loss to Central Valley Christian.
The Vikings dropped to No. 7 while Central Valley Christian remains No. 5 after a 27-26 win.
Clovis West, Liberty-Bakersfield, Buchanan and San Joaquin Memorial hold the top spots.
The back end of The Bee’s rankings looks dramatically different because of losses by eight ranked teams in Week 9.
That includes Bullard falling four spots to No. 22 after a 56-0 loss to San Joaquin Memorial.
Clovis East was rolled by Central on Thursday, falling 56-13. The decisive loss drops the Timberwolves three spots to No. 14.
No. 12 Clovis North was the lone losing team in the back of the Top 25 to not tumble, thanks to a strong showing in a 21-14 loss to Clovis West.
The regular season’s penultimate week is highlighted by the Clovis West at Central matchup.
