Bee’s Best: Anna Marshall is the Girls Athlete of the Week winner for Feb. 7-12
Anna Marshall of Caruthers High basketball came away the winner of The Bee’s high school Girls Athlete of the Week for Feb. 7-12.
Marshall received 26,305 votes (82%). She finished ahead of Hayley Hartsburg of Buchanan soccer who picked up 5,425 votes (17%).
Marshall had 14 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 14 steals in the Blue Raiders’ win over Minarets.
Sixteen prep athletes were nominated.
The nominees were from basketball and soccer.
The poll closed at noon Saturday.
Recent winners: Athena Tomlinson of Clovis West basketball, Melayna Vasquez of Fowler soccer, Darleth Felix of Tulare Union basketball and Morgan Triguiero of Caruthers.
