Bee’s Best: See the winner of the boys and girls Athlete of the Week for Nov. 1-6

Gianna Mastro of Clovis West tennis is the winner of The Bee’s Athlete of the Week for Nov. 1-6.

Mastro picked up 16,536 votes (56%). She finished ahead of Karis Haltom of Immanuel golf who tallied 9,832 votes (33%).

Jace Peterson of Kingsburg water polo came in third with 1,265 votes (4%).

Sixteen athletes were nominated.

The nominees were from cross country, golf, tennis, volleyball and water polo.

The poll closed at noon Saturday.

Past winners: Grace Van Der Kooi of Central Valley Christian volleyball, Katelyn Goforth of Kerman volleyball, Andrew Gray of Madera water polo, Krisalynn Turman of Caruthers volleyball, Margaret Arambula of Mission Oak volleyball, Kristen Landen of Clovis West volleyball, Gabby Russell of Clovis West volleyball, Goforth again, Marissa Mendrin of Kerman volleyball and Susie Phillips of Central Valley Christian golf.
