Bee’s Best: Check out the winner for the boys and girls Athlete of the Week for Sept. 20-25

Eleven high school athletes from the Fresno area were nominated in The Fresno Bee’s Athlete of the Week poll for Sept. 20-25.

And the winner goes to Margaret Arambula of Mission Oak volleyball is the winner for The Bee’s Athlete of the Week for Sept. 20-25.

Arambula had 8,485 votes (47%).

Dylan Van Scoyoc of Tulare Union water polo came in second with 7,467 votes (41%). Gabe Bower of Strathmore water polo had 1,192 votes (7%).

Athletes in volleyball, tennis and water polo were nominated. The poll closed at noon Saturday.

Past winners: Grace Van Der Kooi of Central Valley Christian volleyball, Katelyn Goforth of Kerman volleyball, Andrew Gray of Madera water polo and Krisalynn Turman of Caruthers volleyball.

Fall coaches may submit nominations with stats from this week’s action to agalaviz@fresnobee.com.
