Who’s that on those cartons of milk? Some of your favorite prep championship teams
Milk consumers will be seeing some familiar teams on their milk cartons over the next couple weeks.
The Central Section’s five volleyball champions are being displayed on Crystal Creamery’s milk cartons throughout Northern and Central California.
Clovis West (Division I), Bakersfield Christian (Division II), San Joaquin Memorial (Division III), Kingsburg (Division IV) and Kerman (Division V) are the first to be on Crystal Creamery’s blue reduced fat 2% milk cartons after winning section titles last fall.
Football champions will hit stores during Super Bowl week.
“Crystal Creamery is very excited to add these champions to our commemorative cartons for achieving the highest honor in their sport,” senior director of sales Brian Carden said in a news release. “These cartons provide a fun, lasting memory of a very special moment while honoring the hard work and sacrifice put forth by the student athletes, their coaches and their families.”
Modesto-based and family-owned, Crystal Creamery has been a sponsor of high school sports since 2012 when it began supporting the CIF’s Sac-Joaquin Section. In 2019, the dairy expanded its sponsorship of the California Interscholastic Federation to include the Central Section and the North Coast Section.
“We greatly appreciate Crystal Creamery’s sponsorship of the Central Section,” Central Section commissioner Jim Crichlow said. “Not only is this exciting for the student-athletes and the schools, but I believe it provides a lot of pride for all involved.”
The cartons are hitting stores throughout Northern and Central California, including Grocery Outlet, Rite Aid and Family Dollar.
