Linebacker Jadon Pearson is headed back to the 559, he said in a post Tuesday afternoon on X.

Pearson said he has committed to the Fresno State football team after playing last season at Utah State.

He is the first commit from the transfer portal in the Matt Entz era as coach.

Prior to playing at Utah State, Pearson spent two seasons at Utah (2022-2023) and appeared in 16 games and had nine tackles. He redshirted the 2023 season, but played in three games and made four tackles.

Before attending Utah, Pearson played junior college football at Reedley College.

Last season for the Aggies, Pearson had 42 tackles and three tackles for a loss in 10 games.
