UMC building would make good shelter
I second the notion of converting the old University Medical Center building into a homeless shelter. The building would be well suited for that purpose. The problem is, will the homeless in Fresno be willing and capable to make that transition?
The building could not accommodate the shopping cartloads of items along with dogs or other animals some of these folks like to have. They must make a personal commitment to better their lives. They must decide which is more important, improving their lives and getting off the streets and back into mainstream society, or continuing to push cartloads of junk around town with dogs in tow?
