Send homeless to UMC building
I would like to make a suggestion on the old University Medical Center hospital near Cedar and Kings Canyon avenues. Instead of tearing it down or leaving it abandoned, why not use it as a shelter for homeless people?
It would create jobs and give the homeless an alternative to living on the streets. Health services are located nearby and with in walking distance. The building already has a cafeteria that can be used to serve meals again. Perhaps local food banks can become involved.
