Enjoy two museums during fair season
In response to Ann S. Pardini’s letter on Oct. 6, we are happy to say that both The Big Fresno Fair and Fresno County Historical museums are open from fair opening until 9 p.m.
The second floor of the Fresno County Historical Museum does close at 5:30 p.m. for concerts and from 1-1:30 p.m. for fair staff departments to meet; however, this still provides much more time to view the museums compared to last year. Last year we weren’t quite sure if the historical museum was going to be open in time for the fair, which is why we weren’t staffed to have the museums open for longer hours.
Fast forward one year, we have had time to better plan and better staff to enable both museums to be open during the day, in addition to the daily tours at 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tour groups do not close down the museums. Both tours and self-guided tours occur at the same time.
We are very proud of our Big Fresno Fair Museum and Fresno County Historical Museum. We hope you have time to come out and experience them in person.
Debbie Jacobsen, Fair Board President, Fresno
