Keep Fresno County Museum open; fair board, move your meetings
The Central Valley magazine has a nice article regarding the Fresno County Museum located at the fairgrounds. Will the second floor be open this year?
Last year we went to the fair, mainly to view the museum. The first floor was open and we were told upstairs “is closed until noon.” (The first floor is great!) We came back after noon and it was still closed because it “...will not be open because the fair board is holding their meeting upstairs.”
What? Is there no other venue or time for the board to meet? Can’t they meet before the fair or museum opens for the day? Do tour groups “close” the museum for other visitors?
Fresno finally has a museum to be proud of. We will hope for a better visitor availability during the fair this year and every year.
