It’s primary election day in Fresno — here’s what you should know

It’s primary election day in California.

A number of national, state and local offices are on the ballot, all the way from the Congress to City Council.

Today, voting centers have extended their regular hours from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Which races are on the ballot?

Voters have the power to decide the state’s highest office. Of the eight candidates running for governor, two will advance to the general election after today’s primary.

Four congressional seats and seven state legislature seats are up for grabs in the Central Valley area, as well as four Fresno City Council seats.
