Fresno County Coroner’s Office IDs Fresno’s 19th homicide victim
The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has identified Kevin Taylor, 57, of Fresno, as the city’s 19th homicide victim after Fresno police said he was found stabbed to death Tuesday morning at a sober living facility in southeast Fresno.
Officers were called to 315 N. 2nd St., near McKenzie Avenue, just after 9 a.m., where a friend of Taylor discovered his body, Lt. Joe Gomez said. It appeared the victim died several hours earlier.
In other traumatic deaths, the Coroner’s Office identified William Donald Cantrell Sr., 58, of Fresno, as the pedestrian who was stuck by a vehicle near Shaw and Maroa avenues on Tuesday, spokesman Tony Botti said.
Arlene Cruz, 20, was identified as the driver killed in a traffic collision west of Lemoore, near Highway 198 and Goldenrod Avenue, on Wednesday, Botti said. The California Highway Patrol said the collision involved a vehicle and a big rig around 4:46 p.m.
