Keebtsim Txhim Christopher Xiong, 26, of Fresno, was arrested following an investigation by the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Investigators said the task force received information that Xiong was communicating inappropriately with minors in a group chat on the Discord app.
Detectives allege Xiong exchanged sexually explicit material with the children and attempted to arrange an in-person meeting with at least one of them.
Xiong worked as an after-school tutor at Fresno High through the California Teaching Fellows Foundation, an outside organization contracted by Fresno Unified School District.
Officials said he has been placed on administrative leave.
Xiong’s bail was set at $100,000. He has since posted bond and been released from jail with a future court date.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
