A man was seriously hurt Thursday night after a suspected DUI hit-and-run crash in Clovis.

Clovis police spokesperson Ty Wood said the crash happened at 10 p.m. at the intersection of Jefferson and Brookhaven, near Barstow and Clovis.

When officers arrived and located the victim, they instructed the driver to remain there as they attempted life-saving measures.

Wood said the driver fled in her Toyota Camry, but was stopped a short distance away. She was arrested.

The man was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene to investigate the crash.

Wood said the driver has been identified as 45-year-old from Clovis.

She was booked into Fresno County Jail on DUI, hit-and-run, evading officers, and possession of a controlled substance.
