Three people were injured in a shooting at a house party iin Fresno Sunday morning.

The violence happened after 2 a.m. in the 3900 block of E. Ashcroft Avenue.

Officers arrived and located three victims with gunshot wounds to the lower body in the home’s backyard. They were taken to a local hospital and listed in stable condition, Fresno police Lt. Paul Cervantes said.

The victims ranged from ages 15 to 19. Cervantes said some of the victims were shot several times.

Officers were already patrolling the area when they heard shots.

“What we learned thus far is that this was some type of house party that was announced on social media,” Cervantes said.

“As a result, many patrons arrived at this location, some of whom were not actually invited.”

Cervantes said some were involved in a fight to the rear of the home when the alleged suspect pulled out a gun and shots rang out, striking three.

“It’s unknown if the person that was struck by gunfire or the actual intended were targeted or not.”

Officers interviewed 14 people at the home and provided information. Cervantes said they are looking for two suspects.
