Fresno personal trainer arrested on sex-related charges. He trained at Clovis gym
Clovis police arrested a personal trainer who allegedly sent inappropriate messages to an underage female client.
Detectives arrested 50-year-old Rick Bracamontes Jr. of Fresno last week on two felonies, including electronically sending harmful material to a minor and annoying or molesting a minor, police said Monday.
Police said Bracamontes worked as an independent personal trainer at Doc’s Gym near Herndon and Minnewawa avenues in Clovis for about three years.
Doc’s Gym is cooperating with the investigation and Bracamontes’ access to their facility was revoked, police said.
Detectives said the victim was coached by Bracamontes three years ago, as well as in December 2024, when communications started.
Police said Bracamontes would allegedly contact the victim via text messages or social media and ask for photos in different outfits in exchange for money.
When his requests started becoming more inappropriate, the victim told her parents, who reached out to law enforcement, police said.
Bracamontes has bonded out of jail.
Clovis police are asking for parents to speak to their children, especially if they have been coached by Bracamontes.
