A disturbance led to a stabbing Sunday night at an apartment complex in Fresno.

Officers went to the location at 10:40 p.m. after receiving a call about a fight at Ashlan and Fruit avenues.

Officers learned a man had been stabbed and soon found him with a stab wound to his abdomen, Fresno police Lt. Leslie Williams said.

He was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

Officers made contact with a man at a nearby apartment and arrested him, Williams said.

He was booked into the Fresno County jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
