Update: One killed in triple shooting at barbershop in Fresno, police say

Three people were injured in a shooting late Saturday afternoon in Fresno.

Fresno Police Lt. Marcus Gray II said an officer was driving by a barbershop at Belmont and Van Ness Avenue when they were flagged about a victim of a shooting. Officers also received a ShotSpotter activation, confirming a shooting in the area.

Officers found three shooting victims near the barbershop, and they were taken to a local hospital.

Gray said one victim was pronounced dead at the hospital while a second victim was hospitalized. The third victim, a 17-year-old, had a minor injury.

Gray said a disturbance inside the barbershop led up to the shooting.

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. There was no suspect description.
