Major traffic disruption on Olive Avenue due to sewer collapse, city officials say

Motorists are asked to avoid Olive Avenue in both directions east of First Street because of a sewer collapse.

The city of Fresno said westbound traffic is being diverted at Fisher Street as crews are on-site working to stabilize the area.

One lane will be open in both directions within six to eight hours, officials said.

Motorists are being asked to follow posted detours.
