Man dies after woman allegedly sets him on fire on roadway, Madera deputies say

A man was killed Thursday morning after he was allegedly set on fire by a woman.

The Madera County Sheriff’s Office responded around 3 a.m. after receiving a call of a disturbance on Children’s Boulevard, in the area between Lanes Bridge and Highway 41.

The caller said a woman had set her husband on fire

Deputies found the victim in the road.

The woman was detained, but in an update deputies said the relationship between the man and woman has not been confirmed.

The investigation was ongoing.
