Homicide investigation underway after man found shot to death in Fresno County

Homicide detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office investigated a fatal shooting that happened early Thursday morning near Parlier.

Deputies responded just after 3 a.m. of shots being fired near the intersection of South Academy and East Adams avenues and found a man on the ground with gunshot wounds.

Deputies attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead.

The motive for the shooting was unknown.

Detectives collected evidence and spoke with residents in the area.

No suspect(s) have been identified.

The homicide is an ongoing investigation.
