Man shot multiple times during fight at gas station in Fresno, cops say. SUVs fled scene

A man is in the hospital Saturday morning after he was shot multiple times at a gas station in Fresno.

The shooting happened just after 1 a.m. at 2588 S. Maple, near Jensen Avenue, police said.

Officers arrived and found the victim in his 20s next to his vehicle who was struck multiple times on his upper body.

He was taken to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Witnesses told officers that the victim arrived at the Shell gas station and was confronted by three men who were standing next to two SUVs, police said.

A fight happened between the victim and the three suspects when multiple shots were fired which struck the victim and the exterior of the gas station building, police said.

The suspects then entered the two SUVs and left the scene.
