Man killed overnight in Fresno shooting, police say. He was found lying in front of home

A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Fresno.

Police said the shooting happened at 1 a.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter electronic activation for six rounds in the 400 block of B Street.

Officers arrived and found a man lying on the grass in front of the home.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

What led up to the shooting and suspect description is unknown, police said.

Officers were on scene for several hours and canvassing for surveillance video.
