Man taken to Fresno hospital after knife attack, police say. It was near an apartment

A man was hospitalized Friday evening when he was allegedly stabbed in Fresno.

Officers responded to Dakota and Crystal avenues of reports of a stabbing.

The victim lives in an apartment complex and was getting out of his vehicle when he was approached by a man, who is possibly unhoused, police said.

Police said the suspect randomly accused the victim and pulled out a knife and cut the victim on the side of his face back.

The suspect fled from the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.
