Man allegedly shoots at girlfriend sitting in car, police say. A child was inside
Police investigated a shooting Friday night that sent a woman to a Fresno hospital.
Fresno Police Lt. Marcus Gray said officers responded at 10:17 p.m. to First Street and Sierra Avenue after a woman said her boyfriend shot at her while she was sitting in her vehicle.
Officers talked to the woman who had minor injuries from fragmented glass from the bullet striking the vehicle, Gray said. She was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
A child was in the backseat and was not injured.
Officers later located the boyfriend several blocks away at First and Warren avenues after he attempted to flee, Gray said.
The investigation is ongoing.
